Rachel M. Doody, BA, BDentSc, MFD, RCSI, MS
Dr. Rachel Doody graduated from the University of Minnesota Advanced Education in Periodontology program in 2005. She is a former graduate of Trinity College Dublin, where she graduated from her Dental studies in 1998 with a first class honours degree. Shereceived theSheldon-Friel Medal for her Final Dental examination and also received the Gold Medal awarded by Trinity College for excellence in final examinations.
Rachel has lectured extensively at dental meetings in Ireland, with topics including management of advanced periodontal and restorative cases, and surgical placement and preparation of sites for dental implants. She completed extensive research at both the University of Minnesota and the University of Michigan on the role of host derived protective peptides in Periodontal Disease.
Barry Dace, BDS, BSc, MFDS, RCSEd, MS
Dr. Barry Dace graduated from the University of Minnesota Advanced Education in Periodontology Program in 2004. He is a former graduate of Queen’s University, Belfast, where he graduated from his Dental Studies with Honours in 1999. Barry also has a degree in Microbiology from Queen’s University, Belfast.He has lectured extensively to Dentists, Hygienists, and Dental Vocational Trainees on topics such as Periodontal microbiology, hard & soft tissue grafting, Implantology, and Comtemporary Periodontics. Barry is a reviewer for articles submitted to the Journal of the Irish Dental Association, and is a former Hon Secretary of the Irish Academy of American Graduate Dental Specialists (IAAGDS). He has completed extensive research in the fields of Molecular Biological Analysis of gene expression in Periodontal Micro-organisms. His work has been completed in collaboration with the University of Minnesota, the University of Michigan, and Queen’s University, Belfast.

Dr. Rebecca Carville, BDentSc FFD RCSI DChDent(Pros) (Trinity College Dublin)

At No.16, Rebecca offers a full range of prosthodontic services. This includes all aspects of fixed, removable and implant
prosthodontics. This includes the management of bruxism, tooth wear, the management
of failing dentures and the treatment of complex occlusal problems.
Dr David McReynolds BA BDentSc MFDS RCSEd DChDent (Pros) FFD RCSI (Pros)
David graduated from the level 10 clinical doctoral prosthodontics programme in Trinity College Dublin in 2018 with the Dean’s Prize for academic performance. He is an Assistant Professor in Restorative Dentistry at Dublin Dental University Hospital and he maintains a part-time position in private interdisciplinary practice at Number 16 Periodontics, Booterstown.
David is the deputy editor of the Journal of the Irish Dental Association, he is an Associate Editor of the Irish Journal of Medical Sciences and he is the Secretary of Odontology for the Royal Academy of Medicine in Ireland.
David is known for taking an uncompromising approach towards definitive and comprehensive dental reconstruction with meticulous intra-operative documentation of treatment cases using clinical photography.As a full time academic prosthodontist in Post-CCST equivalency training, David has completed a level 9 Special Purpose Certificate in Academic Practice and a level 9 Professional Diploma in Management in Healthcare whilst leading teaching, service delivery and research in restorative dentistry and prosthodontics at Dublin Dental University Hospital. David is presently embarking on a part-time PhD in gerodontology with The Irish LongituDinal Study on Aging (TILDA). Meet The Oral Surgeon
Naomi Rahman BA BDentSc DChDent (OS) FFD(RCSI)

Dr. Naomi Rahman is the Specialist Oral Surgeon at Number 16. Dr. Rahman provides treatment of multiple conditions of the teeth, jaws, bone and gums. Procedures such as extraction of wisdom (or other) teeth, biopsy, exposures of unerupted teeth, removal of cysts and tumours, bone grafting and implant therapy. Much of Dr. Rahman’s work is carried out under Intravenous sedation, and she is fully registered with all the major health insurers.
Dr. Rahman completed her specialist training in Oral surgery in Trinity College Dublin, and is particularly active in the continuing education field, providing hands on courses for dentists regularly.
Naomi qualified from Trinity College Dublin in 2004 with an honours degree in Dentistry. She was awarded the entrance exhibitioner award in 1999, and a three year scholarship award in 2000.
Naomi has worked as a house officer in the Dublin Dental School and Hospital, and also in general practice. She was awarded the Membership of the Faculty of Dentistry by the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in 2006. The following year, she undertook a three year Doctorate programme in Oral Surgery in the Dublin Dental School and Hospital, and graduated with a first class honours degree. During this time she published numerous articles and has also been invited to speak at dental conferences on surgical related topics.
In 2010 she was awarded a fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in Oral Surgery. She previously taught dental students in the Oral Surgery Department of the the Dublin Dental School and Hospital.
